It was mourning, you couldnt really tell though since snow had frosted the window and covered the sun. Well, thats what I get for living in the artic for a couple months. Today I had to go on a mission I was given by the people who supplied the money for me to travel and sled with my dogs. Today I had to go into an uncharted area and report whats there along with making a topographical map about the land.
I hopped on my sled after hooking up my dogs to the sled ready for the assignment. This would be our last assignment and then we could just do whatever we want from now on. Me and my dogs Jack, Blood Paw, Fost, Leon, Jess, and my bud Husk were off. It was a basic snow run, every couple of hours I added to my map and we were a little closer to finishing each time.
Finally I was on the last part of my map and ready to go back when the dogs took over the sled and started to pull me in a direction that we hadnt planed. The winds started to pick up and the snowfall increased tenfold that the snow started to scrape the side of my face, so much so that I started to bleed. They all seamed happy about where we were going when bam, we hit a chunk of ice. After I got up from the crash there was absolutely no more snow or wind and I could see again. We didnt hit a chunk of ice, we hit an ice palace. It was beautiful, at least 30 feet high. It had an awesome structure made of thousands of ice crystals with an entrance in the front.
Before I could even think of trying to repair the sled the dogs all started barking like they were in pain. I ran over and started to unhook them as fast as I could. They all started to grab my pants and shirt with their teeth and started to pull me into the palace. We walked through thousands of halls. Light sparkled from the reflection of the crystals all through the palace, rainbows bouncing off all the walls.
After a couple of minutes of walking we made it to what seamed like the center of the palace. The dogs ran away from my side and started to dig straight into the snow. After a couple of seconds they all uncovered something and all had huge smiles spread across their faces. They dug up this weird kind of collar and gave it to me as they all started to bark and wag their tails. Puzzled I thanked them and let them lead me back out to the sled; I didnt know what this collar was for, but after this assignment the dogs and I could spend the rest of our lives exploring that palace.
We got back to the sled, I made the repairs, hooked the dogs back up, and headed back to the base to give them the map, but there was no way I was gonna tell them about the palace. On our way back the dogs had twice as much energy and all seamed really anxious to get back; I was too, but apparently not as much as them.
Ah
finally
we were all now together in our own home in the artic, nobody to tell us what to do and we had a lifetime to explore what was out here, especially the palace. The dogs started going crazy knowing we had no more assignments ever and that we could play whenever and forever. They were so happy and started to pull me towards my room, I assumed they wanted me to put on my snow clothes and wrestle with them but they started to pull me over to my closet where I stashed the collar. I grabbed the box it was in and gave it to them. Husk picked it up in his teeth and put it on top of my head and put his nose to my neck. For some reason I guess he wanted me to put it on; I didnt see any harm in that so I did. All of there smiles spread ultra wide.
Right after that I had a horrible pain in my feet. I ripped off my socks to see black circles forming on my souls. I poked them and they felt just like the black pads on a dogs paw. My feet became completely covered in white fur and my toes formed into black nails just like a dogs. My legs shifted and morphed into that of a huskys as they too erupted with fur. My hands like my feet also became paws and my back and stomach started to shift into a huskys as well. The base of my spine started to give a weird throbbing pain. I looked back to see a furry tail extending from my backside. I finally got out of my state of shock and yelled Husk, whats going on!? but he just smiled while I, still paniced, was finishing my transformation. My neck started to swell as fur filled in the space between my neck and the collar making a little tight. All that was left now was my head. All the hairs on my face and head started to turn a beautiful snow white as others turned gray. My mouth started to push out into a muzzle as my teeth grew longer and sharper like a dogs. My nose turned black and wet extending itself to the end of my new muzzle. Finally, my ears had a weird pulling sensation as they migrated to the top of my head, became pointed, filled with fur and finished the transformation.
I was now a husky like all my dogs. I looked in the mirror; I couldnt believe it, and I didnt know how it happened, but I was very happy with my new body.
Ready to explore the palace? asked Husk. Heck, I thought, why not, we had all eternity to do whatever we want.

We're all human, why can't we just get along and be nice to each other? When people aren't so bigoted against people for their religion, sexuality, and other interests, we'll STOP bombing each other and START helping others.

A Broken Hell
Is that all you want?
I'm dying, somebody save me.
I'm dying, please just leave me.
Could use a little more description here and there as you seem to jump around a lot...even though you're not. Lol.
Anyway, otherwise it's fine, so keep it up.
